Tiree Broadband uses a secure wireless network to distribute a broaband connection to its subscribers.
This wireless network allows us to reach areas of Tiree outwith the reach of conventional (BT) ADSL. The network uses a combination of 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz wireless frequencies transmitted using industrial grade proprietary equipment, rather than domestic standard Wi-Fi.
Our internet connection (or backhaul) is currently via 2 ADSL connections provided by Scotnet.
